Which class will be the most overpowered in WOTLK??

Topic says it all, vote for who you think will be OP and ill add up the results.

Coming from a caster standpoint its definately warlocks. <3 chain fear/skillcoil/fel puppy!

Afflic:

Cripple: Cripples the target, reducing movement speed by 75%, silencing the target. Cripple causes the target to be immune to physical attacks, but still vulnerable to spells. Lasts 20 sec. Only 1 target can be crippled at a time. (51 point, 1.5 sec cast, no cooldown)

AKA the spammable 20 second silence.

Demo:

Metamorphosis: You transform into a Demon, with full health and mana. While in Demon Form, you gain Demonic abilities and your armor is increased to 360%, but your pet no longer is summoned. When leaving Demon Form, your health and mana is returned back to normal and your pet is re-summoned. (51 point)

Demo locks are the hardest to kill..... and if you manage to get one low BAM pop this and full hp.
And their abilities are "another" aoe fear, aoe shadow bolt.

Destro:

Chaos Bolt: Sends a bolt of Chaotic Fire at the enemy, dealing 990-1256 Fire damage. Chaos Bolt cannot be resisted, and pierces through absorption and immunity mechanics. (51 point, 715 mana, 1.45 sec cast, 8 sec cooldown)

Not the worst for a caster except its a 1.45 second cast... gg rogues and pallies.



OH and Soul link (20% less dmg taken) is moved to the BOTTOM of the demo tree, so all
warlocks are gonna have it

Well, cripple is basically another CC for them, so no way it will last 20 seconds on a pvp target. Still seems imba as hell . But i definitely think shamans are going to be pretty strong and a bit imba, talking mainly about the resto tree. 60%healed lowest hp party member on crit. like a binding heal that does the work for u. hance have awesome wep specs now, and thrall mode might be more annoying than water elementals . Ele is just, awesome. If you think about it, thunder is not only an aoe, but 5% mana back every 45 seconds, + a nice addition to knockback which i just saw. Lava burst 100% crit if they have flame shock, improved shocks giving frost shock a 25% snare chance (lawl).

Did i mention they have HEX!? yes, another CC and a sad day for us warrs. With 3 or more new CC's, and about the same amount of knockbacks, us warrs will be puppets in arenas, unless they take that crap pvp out >:\. And looking back, they finally get an imbued weapon for healing/spell, the healing one may be a little imba.

yea shamy gonna b awsom in groups, merge agi/str totem and WF is now a buff! and the best of all totems works for all the raid group!

but hunters gonna suck so bad, steady shot now break auto shot CD, so BM doesnt rly worth it anymore, i hope they will add somthing cool for this or make 1 agi for 2 ap like b4


and warrior pupet? dude they gonna b dps whore, they can now dual weild 2h weap

I think if they just left rogues alone at 70 they'd actually be balanced with all the other 80's, but of course they get shadow dance

do they have stuff on hunts now? When i checked they didnt show the new talents. I was talking about warrs in pvp/arena. I am more than excited for my DW 2h's . Leap or w/e seems awesome too. I was going to lvl my shaman now for an alt, but im getting caught up with pally, even though i dont want a 70 pally AT ALL :\. but VOTE COMFIRMED: Shammy

Let's look at history:

Rogues rock.

Expansion comes to 70.

None of rogue's abilities scale.
Their Cooldowns don't last longer, despite longer fights with more stam/armor/resil.
Vanish is broken and no longer works.
Rogues suck.

PvP armors add Armorpen and stop adding resil.
Subt tree is buffed.
Rogues now have 2 sets of CD's.

Rogues are good again.


New expasion comes to 80.
Rogues get another Vanish. I predict this works even less than the current vanish.
Other classes get anti-rogue abilities, like warlocks.
Rogue's primary weapon will be a dagger/crit again, something that has historically scaled very poorly.
Rogues abilities still do not scale well.

My prediction: Rogues suck in expansion until they get buffed again.


They really should have re-designed the whole rogue class in PvP. A class who's entire damage mitigation is mainly based upon stunning the enemy is insanely hard to balance.

My Vote: Warlocks again.

Steady shot will no longer 'clip' autoshoot. that sounds like a good thing to me, and on wotlkwiki.info it says that increases the auto attack dps. What i think it means is when u cast stead shot, it wont prevent a bullet from being fired, delay it, w/e.

That was my take on the information.


I think autoshot will shoot regardless of the steady shot rotation.. so you will have your base Autoshot DPS with steadyshot DPS added on... rather than the clipping that occurs now.

its already like that, steady shot = auto shot dmg + about 400 (not exactly that though) and u can start casting next steady shot right when the last one is shot (if the weap is fast enough, BM only) and if ur timed enough the auto shot is shot while u r casting steady shot (cuz of lag)

but i think they r fixing that and make it that after u cast steady shot u gotta wait for weapon CD until it shoot auto shot (like wit aimed shot)

and that gonna sucks cuz BM hunter dps gonna drop to almost he half (so everyone gonna get back to MM and sur)

I still think bm will be the way to go(do to fast attack speed)...... i think the pet is going to do alot more dmg then it does now, on the other hand. MM build with a pet spec'd properly could do sick dmg perhaps.

yea new pet presonal talents r gonna b awsom but without steady shot overlaping auto shot CD the speed bonus is useless cuz u lost it all cuz of the steady, so steady shot become kinda useless, bm hunter will have to play the same way as MM : aim shot, steady shot, arcane shot...

bm still gonna stay the best lving/soloing spec cuz of the strong tanking pet, but if its steady shot gonna b like that ima respec my hunter at lv 80

they will definetly be adding some new talents/skills for BM to be worth it's wild, i personally think pets will be a lot more useful in raids, possibly worth healing.

I personally dont consider warlocks too much overpowered right now. Maybe it shows up with better gear. Anyway, in Wrath we will be OP. Every single one of those 51 point talents are awsome. Theres also some other cool things in affliction that are good.
However, rogues still win against us. Not sure but if a rogue can cheap shot with a dagger, shadow dance will beat us and probably any other cloth. So unless we can demon form out of that fun time I say GG. And by speccing into metamorphisis, we lose cripple which can be used to CC any class. I've heard a lot of warlocks crying about how fear is broken so I think cripple is just the replacement.

yea horky, pets able to heal the party would b awsom, pets r kinda useless in raid (even for BM hunters, at hight lv wit raiding gear the pet represant maybe only 10-15% of the hunter's dps, in the lving process its like 30%), most of the hunter dont even use it and i myself somtimes get pissed of rezzing it so i let him play dead

so a healing pet would be prety cool in raid and pvp, even for locks

Imo rogues are op almost in any talent tree they take although it seems that they are pushing rogues to be more pvp oriented than just pve but other classes are being pushed into pve like mages

I really dont see why warlocks are always targeted by stuff like that. I could make stuff like that for every class probably.

Warrior-Key bind MS and Hamstright to every key> roll face
Rogue- ! is stealth, 2 is cheap shot, 3 is SS, 4 is Kidney shot, 5 is gouge, 6 is vanish
Mage- 1 is summon water elemental, 2 is frostbolt, 3 is blink
Druid-1 life bloom, 2 travel form
Hunter- 1 Beast Within, 2 shot macro, 3 feign death
Shaman- idk, might actually differ from class to class
Paladin-1. Flash of ligh, 2. Hammer of Justice
Priest- 1. Pain Suppression, 2 Flash Heal, 3 Greater Heal

And the only reason I dont know what shamans do is because any time I see one, they 1 shot me with a windfury crit. I know what rogues do very well because I sit there for 6 seconds either stunned or crippling poisoned and right when theres a brief moment where I'm at 1% and about to get my death coil off I am dead. Sure, maybe all warlocks have to do is dots, fear, death coil and drain life but thats as many buttons as rogues who are BALANCED.

Whoever said warlocks have a anti-rogue tool, sure maybe we do but we probably wont get a chance to use it. Lets assume the rogue is specced Subtley, like many are now. You start off with a cheap shot and beat as down as usual then just as your stuns are about to wear, POOF-Whered HE GO? Oh he just cheap shotted you again, guess that demon form isnt happening. Beat us down some more, then switch to a dagger and ambush, by now you have 5 combo points, switch back to a sword and kidney shot, if by now the warlock isnt dead, lets say he trinkets out of that and goes demon form. Oh no, the rogue vanished. If there were any dots he surley cloak of shadows out of them. So the rogue waits out the duration of metamorphasis and lets any damage he didnt take come back by his spirit based healh regen. Then the warlock is low, maybe he attempts to bandage but an ambush is the end of that.

Of course some of this cant be down unless theres somthing about switching weapons I dont know about.

If only it were that easy.

1) Water elemental spawns in passive so you have to make it attack.
2) you have to face the opponent to cast. (warlocks dot when they arent facing you -.-)
AND its a cast time.
3) Couldnt really turn around to face the oppenat while face rolling.

warriors/rogues have to stay in range / face you to hit you.

:< damn you warlocks and your instant dots/fear that you can cast when they are behind you.

Looks like u've got a lot of rerolling to do, b/c this is completely wrong. Lol priest is a LOT harder than that, you will need to time your binding heals, PoM, and PS isnt even a good spec. Rogue has a lot more kiting, hunter anticipating, a good shaman always knows how to keep up heals, etc etc, and i'm only putting 1 key fact for each. Reroll warrior on PTR, i will duel u with any class of ur choosing, its not easy. and its true, a rogue is anti-lock

O ya and another thing is not ALL mages like to pvp frost like me. Some like to pvp as fire imo its ftw so we can be 3 min mage or deep fire adnthen combonations gets alot more difficult depending on who exactly u are fighting there is definently a counterspell tho there in almost every fight besides rogue. SO my point is mages arent the easiest class to pvp in.

We are talking about the best specs, as a 3 min mage you tear up. But when your moves are on
CD its gg fail.
